Period costumes, Edwardian dresses, Victorian dresses, vintage shoes, vintage jewellery - I always loved it. I think I should had been born in another era. And the period films - I adore period fashion. And of course I have fallen in love with the Edwardian dresses in Downton Abbey. They have made me look for other beautiful outfits from that era to get some inspiration for my new line of period dresses.
I started with Lady Mary Crawley style because I can see lot of myself in her character. And I would wear the same clothes - classy but enchanting and incredible feminine.
I have made this dress with an elegant Downton Abbey style dinner. I would take it for a cruise with such dress code. It can be worn as just elegant black dress or together with a bolero ( with matching embroidery) as beautiful Edwardian evening dress.
The dress is made of black taffeta, fully lined, with satin and silver embellishments. The bolero is made of organza with black edging embroidery.
